💎 Trendy Tidbits 💎

➡️Why does content balance matter?

Picture this: You are on Instagram📲

You visit the profile of a newly launched clothing brand.

The brand has some good offerings that you cannot refuse.

But… you don’t plan to purchase any clothes right now.

~Okay, let me hit the follow, whenever I feel like buying one. I’ll see.

For the next 2 weeks they keep spamming your feed with only promotional posts.

Oh My God What GIF by grown-ish

Giphy

Eventually, what do you do? → Either unfollow or mute them!

And there, they lost you!

🧠Reason— Lack of a clear plan for social media content that doesn’t annoy your audience.

~Then what should the clothing brand do here? — Diversify their content.

Diversification of social content

Here are some stats that hint you to start creating, curating and diversifying your social media content strategy.

  • The average engagement rate of brand posts on Facebook in 2023 was just 0.08%

  • Research shows that 78% of consumers believe that companies providing custom content want to build long-term relationships.

  • Millennials say they are influenced by user generated content 6.6 times more than brand-generated content.

➡️The 30-30-20-10-10 Breakdown

As they say for the content creators,

“Your content should either inspire, educate or entertain.” — so applies for the brands!

Where you just mix a little bit of promotion here and there.🤌

So, is there a right proportion of content types that you should follow?

A big yes!

When I started finding that balance for the content strategy for any brand, I found myself with these five questions:

1️⃣ What is the right mix of your owned content and curated content?

2️⃣ How often should you post promotions and influencer collaborations?

3️⃣ What is the right proportion for pure promotional posts?

4️⃣ How often should you create or send educational content?

5️⃣ Should you post brand content on social posts?

— The easy answer is, “It depends!”

But, you can not just throw random content, thinking that’s how you diversify.

That’ll eventually destroy your brand’s true voice.

So, better let’s stick to a golden ratio

— [30 : 30 : 20 : 10 : 10]

But how does that work? let’s look at it closely.

Start by taking a tour of your content in the last month.

(If you're just starting off, then go for a competitors research)

Next, you can figure out your own categories of content.

→ Find which section they fit best.

→ Then the turn is to fit them into your social media calender.

And that marks a wrap for today’s tidbits!

➡️Prompt for Video Ad script

This prompt helps you write the script for your next short-form video Ad. Fill in the space holders and prompt it to Chat GPT.

Here’s an example of an ad we tried.

Prompt:

Act like an experienced creative director with a focus on digital video advertising. You have over 10 years of experience crafting highly engaging video ads for various domains and industries, successfully boosting conversion rates on different social media platforms.

Your task is to create a 30-second video ad script based on the following details:

Domain: [Insert industry or field, e.g., fitness, tech, fashion]

Target Audience: [Insert specific target audience, e.g., millennials, young professionals, small business owners]

Social Media Platform: [Insert social media platform, e.g., Instagram, TikTok, YouTube]

Call-to-Action (CTA): [Insert desired action, e.g., “Download the app,” “Sign up for free,” “Get 50% off today”]

The ad should follow this specific writing style: [Insert example writing style here, e.g., playful, direct, cinematic]

Example writing style: [Copy and paste an example writing style here]

Ad Script Structure:

Opening Hook (0-5 seconds): Grab the audience’s attention instantly. This should be impactful, visually engaging, and directly relate to the target audience. Create a visual and auditory element to stop the scroll.

Problem or Desire Statement (6-10 seconds): Present the audience’s problem or a deep desire they want fulfilled, linked to the product or service being advertised.

Solution and Benefits (11-20 seconds): Highlight how the product/service solves the problem or fulfills their desire. Use emotional triggers and show tangible benefits through concise visuals and narration.

Call to Action (21-30 seconds): Conclude with a clear, powerful CTA that motivates the audience to take immediate action. Ensure this aligns with the platform's tone (e.g., Instagram might require a more casual CTA, while YouTube can support a slightly more informative tone).

Write the entire video script with brief descriptions of the visuals that accompany each section, keeping in mind the pacing and social media platform constraints. The video should be visually dynamic and highly engaging, suited for short attention spans.

Take a deep breath and work on this problem step-by-step.
